2023 Bucket List

No, not that kind of Bucket List!

I have loved horses my entire life. It is literally in my DNA, passed down from my Grandad. Several years ago, I broke my back and spent a lot of time in rehab. I finally got to spend the last year learning how to ride again. It has been an adventure to say the least.

In April, my trainer, CG and one of my horsey BFFs, DLB, sent me an ad for a lovely draft cross gelding. I had been looking for an older school master to help me with my riding issues and help build my confidence. I read the ad, watched the videos, and just didn't think he was right for me. Both CG and DLB thought he was perfect, so we all packed up in my car and made a road trip to meet him.

Well, it was love at first sight and after a couple test rides, I welcomed Gryfon to my herd.

Gryfon and I spent the next several months developing our bond and a good partnership. I now have the confidence to start showing at "Intro" level in some local schooling shows. The time has come for me to build my 2023 Goals which I am calling the 2023 Bucket List. Here it is!

1. Attend 3 Schooling Shows.

2. Attend 3 Group Trail Rides, like an intro ride at a few local endurance races.

3. Continue to trailer out to my weekly lessons and use that time to film myself riding a test and enter a "Virtual Show" every other month starting in February.

I am excited to share my journey with you! Please enjoy some pictures of our summer shenanigans.
